Proteus is in love with Julia until he gets an eyeful of his best friend’s girl, Silvia. When friends turn into rivals, things quickly go comic as they clash with bandits, a bad-mannered dog, an angry father, and a girl who won’t be dumped. This condensed version of Shakespeare’s first play is sure to be a big hit with all ages!

About This Production

This production of William Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona is part of a new initiative under Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s partnership with Montgomery Public Schools.

Under this partnership, MPS high school students are led by a professional director and stage manager. The Two Gentlemen of Verona is the first production under this new initiative. The goal is to have multiple MPS schools participate in future seasons.
