Alabama Shakespeare Festival cares about the safety of our patrons and company members. As we return to indoor theatre, ASF is closely monitoring the number of cases of COVID-19 in our immediate and near region, as well as nationwide.

What will COVID-19-related health and safety precautions look like when our indoor stages reopen in Fall 2021?

ASF is closely following US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Alabama Department of Public Health and Montgomery City and County recommendations.

All attendees for our indoor performances beginning November 27, 2021 will be required to:

(1) Wear a face mask at all times in the building except with eating or drinking (all patrons, regardless of age), AND

(2) Show proof of a negative, lab-administered COVID-19 PCR or Rapid Test administered within 72 hours of attending an event.  Home rapid test will not be accepted, as time of testing cannot be verified. OR … Attendees may bypass the negative test requirement with proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination. Attendees are not required to be vaccinated, nor will there ever be a vaccine mandate for attendees. Refunds will not be offered to those who do not comply with these requirements. (Children under 12 years of age are not required to present a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of vaccine.)

(3) Stay home if you are feeling unwell the day of your performance — ASF will (when possible) reschedule your performance or exchange your tickets for another production and waive exchange fees.
