Shakespeare Recast:
A Conversation with Greta Lambert
Join us for an illuminating conversation with ASF legend Greta Lambert as we explore her bold and compelling turn as Polonius in our current production of Hamlet.
Over the years, Greta has worn many hats at ASF, working as an actor, director, teacher, Director of Education, and Associate Artistic Director. She brings a wealth of experience with more than a hundred productions to her credit — including having portrayed every one of Shakespeare’s iconic female roles. Audiences last saw her commanding the stage as Prospero in our 2023 production of The Tempest.
Now, Greta enters an exciting new chapter in her artistic journey — stepping into roles traditionally played by men, bringing fresh insight and depth to these characters. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from one of Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s most esteemed Shakespeare actors about her artistic genius and evolving relationship with the Bard’s work.
