Fall Academy classes are open to new and returning students.

NOTE: Some classes meet Mondays; others meet Saturdays. Please note your class days when registering.

MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE COMBOS

Spring Academy | Grades 8 – 12
April 21 & 28, 2025 | Mondays, 4:30 – 6:30pm | Two sessions

Fee: $75
Registration closes at noon on Monday, April 21.

Instructor: Ellen Diehl

In these two sessions, students will learn fun, original choreography from shows old and new, as well as about presence and confidence! The class starts with a gentle warm-up and stretch followed by two brief choreography combinations: one from a golden-age musical and another from a contemporary show. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a newbie, this class is geared toward all skill levels with one important objective — to have fun!

About the Instructor
Ellen Diehl is an actor and dancer based in New York City. She is currently onstage at ASF as Maid Marian in Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood and as Osric in Hamlet. Ellen has choreographed many full-length, professional productions, as well as junior musicals for children of all ages. She has taught dance and theatre for over a decade and is currently on staff as a lead teacher at Dance With Miss Rachel, a beloved New York dance studio with classes geared toward very young children. She is a college audition coach and loves helping young artists grow and find confidence in their journeys through theatre and dance education.

ADULT ACTING: PERFORMING SHAKESPEARE WITH GRETA LAMBERT & RODNEY CLARK

Join esteemed ASF legends Greta Lambert and Rodney Clark for an unforgettable summer adult acting workshop!

With more than a hundred productions and many decades of experience between them, this beloved duo are returning this summer to share their acting insights with you. This summer’s revelry promises to be an electric experience for adult actors and thespians of all experience levels. From seasoned pros to curious novices, all are welcome to immerse themselves in the magic of the Bard.

This summer course offering is for adults only.

We’re looking for passionate and energetic teaching artists around the River Region and beyond to lead and/or assist with our Education programming — including but not limited to workshops, classes, and camps for youth and adults! Teaching Artists are hired at ASF on a rolling basis throughout the season. Add your information to our databaseto be notified if an opening fits your profile or area of expertise.

Cancellation Policy:

We want all students to be satisfied with their experience at the ASF Academy. If, after completing the first day of class, you decide that you do not want to continue, let us know by the second business day following class, and we will return your payment (minus the $25 registration fee). After the second day of class, no tuition or enrollment adjustments will be made.
