Phil Monat has designed over 25 productions for ASF over the last ten years, including two seasons of Rep. He has designed over 600 productions in regional theatres throughout the country, including productions at The Old Globe, Seattle Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Milwaukee Rep, Musical Theatre West, Mark Taper Forum, La Jolla Playhouse, The Huntington Theatre, Cleveland Play House, Studio Arena Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Geva Theatre, Great Lakes Theatre Festival, The McCarter Theatre, The Alley Theatre, PlayMakers Repertory Company, Pioneer Theatre Company, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Kansas City Rep, Goodspeed Opera House, and The Paper Mill Playhouse, among others. His Broadway work includes Sly Fox, Finian’s Rainbow, Sally Marr…and Her Escorts, and Three From Brooklyn. Off-Broadway productions include Woman Before A Glass (Obie Award), American Rhapsody, Adult Entertainment, Berlin To Broadway With Kurt Weill, Visiting Mr. Green, Mere Mortals and Others, Robbers, Three Tall Women, The Springhill Singing Disaster, Camping With Henry & Tom, The Boys In The Band, The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr Abridged, Fortune’s Fools, And the World Goes ‘Round: The Songs of Kander & Ebb, Godspell, Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar & Grill, The Middle of Nowhere and Goblin Market (Drama Desk nomination). He is active in architectural design as well with multiple projects all over the country.
