Camp Shakespeare Open House

Come see what summer camps are all about at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival!

Stop by Saturday, March 31 from 10 am until noon for games, crafts, costumes, and demonstrations.

At this free event, families can learn about more our summer camp programs.

It’s time to think about camp in the Capital City. With acclaimed New York professionals and master theatre artists at the helm, ASF theatre camps are fun, informative and unforgettable.

2018 Summer Camps

Camp Shakespeare Junior
June 4-8 or June 11-15
9:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Fee: $149
An introduction to theatre for your 5 to 8 year old, engaging them with dramatic play and theatre games. A great preparation for Camp Shakespeare!

Camp Shakespeare Extreme (grades 7-12)
June 18-22 or June 25-29
9:00am – 4:00pm
Fee: $300
It’s Camp Shakespeare–but extreme. Dig deeper into your character, move effortlessly around the stage, learn to project and enunciate! Don’t know what enunciate means? You will when everyone is hanging on every word during your monologue.

Broadway South Musical Theatre Camp (grades 9-12)
July 9-13
9:00am – 4:00pm
Fee: $300
If you’re a triple threat just waiting to happen-you need to come to camp. Sing, dance and act side by side with real live professional actors on the ASF stage. At the end of the week they might be asking you for your autograph!

Camp Shakespeare (grades 4-6)
July 16-20 or July 23-27
8:30am – 4:00pm
Fee: $300
Work with real New York based actors as you learn to act, move and cross swords like the pros. You don’t know what cool is until you can sound like a Shakespearean actor!

Weekend Warrior (grades 7-12)
July 27 (6:00pm – 9:00pm) and July 28 (10:00am – 4:00pm)

Fee: $150 (Only $100 with any other camp)
Learn the skills of stage combat! Your personal fight master will teach you the secrets of hand to hand combat techniques as well as the use of various weapons.
