How to Register for a Schoolfest Performance
Before You Reserve
Please take note of our grade level recommendations. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival asks the group leader to take responsibility for whether a play is appropriate or not for their particular group. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival does not censor or edit the content of the Schoolfest performances. Due to the nature of live theatre information on language, setting, and length will be available closer to the opening of the show. We will answer your questions about the plays to the best of our ability.
Please read the pricing structure carefully!
Type 1 Ticket:
$20 Out-of-State — A standard discounted student ticket
$19 In-State — A standard discounted student ticket.
Type 2 Ticket:
$15 — Schools that require a steeper discount due to student financial need.
(Please attach a letter demonstrating financial need with order.)
Type 3 Ticket:
Thank you for your interest in the ASF SchoolFest grant. All grant money has been distributed.
We are no longer taking applications for the 2017-2018 grant. Please ask about the Type 2 ticket price.
A very limited amount of grant-funded tickets may be available to Alabama public schools that demonstrate severe financial need on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please inquire about grant-funded tickets only if more than 50% of students are on free/reduced lunch program.
For every 15 student tickets purchased, the school receives 1 free adult chaperone ticket. Additional adult chaperone tickets are $24.
* All performances start promptly at 10:00 AM unless otherwise noted.
* Provide a mobile phone number which can be contacted the day of the performance.
Read all of the instructions before you download your application. Download the application for the correct season below. Fill out the Schoolfest Application completely, providing all contact information. All requests are processed in the order in which they are received. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is not responsible for illegible faxes, registrations that are detained, or correspondences lost in the mail.
Any additions to your reservation must be made through you and your school. ASF cannot accept any individual requests to be added to any Schoolfest reservations. This allows the school/educators to control who is with their group. If a parent calls wishing to add to your group, we cannot give out any information on availability and they will be told that all requests must be made through the school/educator.
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
