Spotlight Players

We are very excited to announce the creation of a new acting class this fall. Spotlight Players will serve as a home for actors and artists on the Autism Spectrum and will meet on Tuesday nights starting on September 19, 2017.

The first “semester” will run through December 19, 2017 and, because of this longer time frame, Spotlight Players can and will be structured to function more as a company than some of our other classes. Week to week we will offer training, workshops, guest artists and teachers, and also begin rehearsing a showcase. We will encourage exploration into all aspects of theatre, acting, directing,   playwriting, design, etc. The cost is $300.00 for the 4 month class.

We are very happy to be offering this program to a truly underserved community of artists. Now, we are asking for your help to spread the word.  Autism rates are rising and everyone either knows someone personally or knows of someone who has Autisim. Please let them know about our classes and the new community we are building at ASF. Help us to give a voice and outlet of expression to the artists in this community.
